About This Kenya Uganda Gorilla Safari
This Kenya Uganda gorilla safari joins East Africa’s two great wildlife experiences in one trip. The first week covers Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara. You then fly from Nairobi to Entebbe and drive to the Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Instead of the standard one hour gorilla trek, this trip includes the gorilla habituation experience, which allows up to four hours with a gorilla family that is being accustomed to people, alongside the researchers and trackers. From Bwindi you continue north to Kibale National Park for the chimpanzee habituation experience, a full day following a chimp community from their nests at dawn.
Habituation permits are limited and are issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, so we recommend booking at least four to six months ahead.
