The only national park in the world inside a capital city. Rhino and lion against a skyline of office towers.

TYPICAL VISIT
Quick answer: Nairobi National Park sits seven kilometres from Nairobi city centre and covers 117 square kilometres. Established in 1946, it was Kenya first national park. It holds black rhino, lion, buffalo, giraffe and over 400 bird species, with the city skyline visible from much of it.
No other capital city has a national park on its doorstep. The park is fenced on the city side and open to the south, so wildlife still migrates in and out across the Athi plains. It is the obvious first or last morning of a Kenyan trip, and one of the most reliable rhino sightings in the country.
