The Full Itinerary
Depart Nairobi and climb the escarpment for a view over the Great Rift Valley, then descend to Lake Nakuru National Park. Afternoon game drive around the lake shore, which is one of the most reliable places in Kenya to see both black and white rhino. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

A morning game drive in Nakuru, then a short transfer to Lake Naivasha. After lunch take a boat trip on the lake among hippo and fish eagles, with the option of a walking safari on Crescent Island, where there are no predators and you can walk among zebra and giraffe on foot. Overnight at Naivasha.

Drive west through Narok and into the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. Your first afternoon game drive introduces you to the reserve, following the resident lion prides as the light softens. Dinner and overnight at your Mara camp.

A full day in the reserve with a picnic lunch in the bush. Explore the Mara Triangle and the river, watching for hippo, crocodile and the big cats. Between July and October this is where migration crossings happen. An optional balloon safari at dawn can be arranged. Overnight in camp.
