The Full Itinerary
Depart Arusha after breakfast for Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for a picnic lunch. Afternoon game drive among the baobabs and along the Tarangire River, where the dry season elephant herds gather. Overnight near the park.

Drive northwest through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and down onto the Serengeti plains, with game viewing en route. Arrive in the central Seronera area in the late afternoon for a first game drive. Overnight in the Serengeti.

A full day in the park with a picnic lunch. The Seronera valley is among the best places in Africa for leopard and cheetah. Between July and October the migration is in the north, and the itinerary shifts accordingly. Overnight in the Serengeti.

Morning game drive as you travel southeast out of the park, with an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge. Climb onto the crater highlands and check in at a lodge on the rim. Overnight at Ngorongoro.

Descend into the crater at first light for a full morning game drive on the floor, the best chance of the trip for black rhino. Picnic lunch by the hippo pool, then ascend and return to Arusha for your onward flight.
