About This Amboseli and Tsavo Safari
This Amboseli and Tsavo safari crosses southern Kenya from Nairobi to the coast, which makes it the natural way to combine a short safari with a beach holiday. It covers three of the country’s great elephant parks in four days and drops you at your hotel in Diani or Mombasa at the end.
Amboseli comes first, for the classic view of elephant herds against Kilimanjaro. Tsavo West follows, with Mzima Springs, where you can watch hippo from an underwater chamber, and the Shetani lava flow. The last night is in Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest park, where the elephants are dusted red by the soil.
It suits travellers flying out of Mombasa, families heading to the beach and anyone who wants big landscapes and very few other vehicles.

Leave Nairobi at 7.30 on the Mombasa road, arriving in Amboseli for lunch. Evening game drive among the elephant herds.
