About This Kenya Safari and Beach Holiday
This is Kenya’s classic safari and beach holiday: a southern safari through the elephant parks, followed by time to rest on the Indian Ocean. The route runs one way from Nairobi to the coast, so there is no doubling back.
The safari half starts with two nights in Amboseli beneath Kilimanjaro, then moves to Tsavo West for Mzima Springs and on to Tsavo East for two nights among its red elephants and open plains. From there you transfer to Diani Beach, seventeen kilometres of white sand behind a coral reef.
On the coast the days are yours. Snorkelling at Kisite Marine Park, a dhow trip to Wasini Island and the Colobus Conservation centre are easy to arrange, and many travellers simply stay on the beach.
