OUR STORY
Locally Owned, Locally Led, Deeply Rooted
Sola Safari Travels started as a small family operation running trips into the Masai Mara. Fifteen years on we are still Kenyan owned and Kenyan run, and most of our guides were born within a few hours of the parks they work in.
That matters more than it sounds. A guide who grew up here knows which riverbed the lions favour in a dry August, which lodge manager will find you a table at short notice and when to sit still and wait rather than drive on.
We handle everything from the first email to the airport drop off. No middlemen and no reselling of another operator itinerary.

The Guides Make The Difference
Every guide on our team holds a Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association certification and has spent years in the field before driving for us. Several are Maasai from communities bordering the Mara.
They are trained in first aid, vehicle recovery and bush safety and they speak English fluently. More importantly, they are good company across a long day in a vehicle.
